Seasoned journalist, Kwasi Pratt, has revealed that the current vice president, and potential flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is not from the NPP tradition as most supporters are purporting.
According to him, the argument that the vice president is from the Dombo faction of the New Patriotic Party, NPP is false and that the vice president is not a traditional NPP member but a typical member of the Convention People' s Party.
Speaking on kokrokoo; the morning show on peace FM, Kwasi Pratt said, ' For instance when you consider the political DNA of Vice President Bawumia, he is neither Dombo, Busia nor Danquah. He is not from your (NPP) tradition. He is from CPP and landed in your party. '
Kwasi Pratt was speaking on comments arising from the ' aduru woso walk' by sympathisers of Allan Kyeremanteng held in Kumasi. He said, these to back Hopeson Adorye' s comments on factionalism saying there is nothing wrong with a member of the political party, openly supporting a candidate. Thus the walk was in the right direction and flouts no rule.
However, leaders of the NPP believe the participants of the health walk erred and need to be sanctioned.
