
Life as a. musician or artist in general is viewed by many as unsustainable especially, in our part of the world. Most artist who graced the music and movie scenes have mostly not stayed relevant for long and most of them have always resulted to other means to make ends meet. Some in crisis, have had to beg for funds to survive. However, others are also aware of this inevitable future they face and thus make efforts to prepare for this. Today, lets talk about one former superstar Sony Achiba.
Sony Achiba; the creator and originator of Hip- Dia, a combination of hiplife, highlife and Indian music styles came to the limelight in the early 2000' s after introducing his unique music genre and style.

In the 2000' s most Ghanaians grooved to Achiba' s sweet songs like ' Chop banana' in which he featured Nkasei, ' woyare' and ' boniaye' . However, most Ghanaians will remember very well his style of st6age costume, and performance which depicted Indian style.

After staying in the limelight for a while and thrilling Ghanaians with his amazing tracks, Achiba left music never to be heard of again.
Recently, Ghana weekend TV, a youtube channel, caught up with him and had an exclusive interview with Achiba in which he revealed that he left active music pursue other interests. He said hee now works with a company that sells buiding materials in the United Kingdom and does music sparingly. Achiba continued to reveal that he is also into artist management and that his vurrent artiste; Lady blue ( formerly Queen Peezy) will be releasing her first album next year.

Achiba says he is comfortable in that he is successful in everything he does because he does it with passion and vigour.
